Ahmad participated in the 2024 ISSLS Annual Meeting

Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) Annual meeting in 2024, which took place in Milan, Italy from 27th to 31st May, 2024. Ahmad presented a poster about his research, entitled “Image-based wall shear stresses calculations in cartilage endplate explants and scaffolds in perfusion culture”.

Ahmad took part in the Disc4all Advanced Training Event 2023

Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the Disc4all Advanced Training Event, which took place from 11 to 15 December 2023 in Rochester, NY, USA.

Ahmad participated in the BSTE 2023

Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the 10th Belgian Symposium of Tissue Engineering (BSTE), which took place on 6-7 December 2023 at the University of Liège in Liège, Belgium. He gave an oral presentation entitled “An In Silico Tool To Simulate Fluid Flow And Shear Stresses On CEP Cells In Tissues And Scaffolds”.

Ahmad Alminnawi and Liesbet Geris, among other co-authors, have published a review paper in the JOR Spine. Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the 7th Barcelona VPH Summer School, which took place from 5 to 9 June 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. He presented a poster with the title “presentation An In Silico Tool To Simulate Fluid Flow And Shear Stresses On CEP Cells In Tissues And Scaffolds”.

TERMIS 2023: Ahmad presented his work

Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS) European Chapter Meeting 2023, which took place in Manchester, UK from the 28th to 31st March 2023. Ahmad presented a poster entitled “Direction Dependent Mass Transport Through the Cartilage Endplate”.

Ahmad attended the Disc4All Winter School

Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the 3rd Disc4All Winter School, which took place in Demokritos, Athens, Greece from the 20th of February till the 24th of February 2023. There, he gave an oral presentation entitled “Cartilage Endplate Permeability: From In Vitro to In Silico”.

Ahmad participated in the ORS PSRS International Spine Research Symposium

Ahmad Alminnawi participated in the ORS PSRS 6th International Spine Research Symposium, which took place in Skytop, Pennsylvania, USA from the 6th of November till the 10th of November 2022. Ahmad gave an oral presentation entitled “Cartilage Endplate Permeability: From In Vitro to In Silico”.

Ahmad Alminnawi and Liesbet Geris, among other authors, have published a review paper in Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology. The paper is entitled “Immuno-Modulatory Effects of Intervertebral Disc Cells” and is part of the research topic “Immunological Imbalance: What is its Role in Intervertebral Disc Degeneration?”.
