This post-doc research project concentrates on the evaluation of the piezoelectric peptides as tissue scaffold component to mimic bone piezoelectricity. By the utilization of recent biofabrication methods, the project aims to generate diverse scaffold geometries to observe the effects of piezoelectric peptides on osteogenic differentiation. Later on, in silico models along with bioprocess engineering strategies will be incorporated in the project to simulate the dynamic mechanical loading environment to figure out how the piezoelectric peptides help osteogenesis.
