My thesis project focuses on different aspects of quality improvement for ATMP biomanufacturing. A first aspect of quality improvement relates to the development of new bioreactor technologies for cell culture. A second aspect investigates the use of contrast-enhanced X-ray computed tomography as an innovative imaging modality for quality controls of tissue engineered constructs. Finally, a third aspect covers the data management challenges related to ATMP biomanufacturing while suggesting necessary software solutions.
