Ahmad Alminnawi and Liesbet Geris, among other co-authors, have published a paper titled “TNF induces catabolism in human cartilaginous endplate cells in 3D agarose cultureunder dynamic compression” in the journal Scientific Reports. Ahmad has received a travel grant from the FWB

Ahmad Alminnawi has received a travel grant from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (FWB), which will allow him to attend an international research stay in Barcelona, Spain for 4 months. He will be collaborating with the Biomechanics and Mechanobiology (BMMB) group at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) to create an osteochondral modeling and simulation tool.
