Laura, Liesbeth, Tom and Lies presented their work at the EORS 2025
Last week, Laura Lafuente, Liesbeth Ory, Tom Verbraeken and Lies Geris participated in the 33rd Annual Meeting for the European Orthopaedic Research Society (EORS). The congress took place on 16-19 June 2025 in Davos, Switzerland. It was a week full of inspiring science, great discussions and new perspectives.
They all presented during the congress:
- Laura gave an oral presentation entitled “Multiscale in silico models of fracture healing: providing an integrative framework to understand the influences of defect size, sex-differences and inflammation”, which was part of the symposium “Pre-clinical – Bone defects: from bench to bedside”
- Liesbeth presented a poster entitled “Unravelling the immuno-mechanical dynamics in the early stages of long bone fracture healing”
- Tom presented a poster entitled “Investigating lymphangiogenesis in bone fracture models using a spatial transcriptomic approach”
- Lies gave an oral presentation entitled “In silico perspectives on bone regeneration: from virtual patients to living implants”, which was part of the symposium “Bone – To heal or not to heal: a multi-disciplinary view on non-unions”
They also had the chance to visit the AO Foundation, where they were warmly welcomed and learnt more about their research environment.
