Our group presented at the ORS ISFR 2026

Edoardo Borgiani, Gabriele Nasello, Liesbeth Ory, Sophie Nguyen, and Tom Verbraeken presented their work at the ORS International Section of Fracture Repair (ISFR) 19th Biennial Meeting, held on 6-8 May 2026 in Berlin, Germany. The congress brought together a global community of clinicians, researchers, engineers, and industry partners on innovation in the field of fracture repair, bone regeneration, and orthopedic trauma.

They all presented their work during the conference:

  • Edoardo: “An experimentally-informed in silico model to investigate the role of mechanobiology during bone healing early inflammatory stage” (poster)
  • Gabriele: “Localized activation of regulatory T cells regenerates bone defects” (oral, selected from scoring abstracts)
  • Liesbeth: “May the force be with you: immuno-mechanical dynamics driving early bone repair” (oral, selected from top abstracts)
  • Sophie N: “From simulation to bone regeneration: in silico design of biodegradable porous scaffolds in critical-size defects” (poster)
  • Tom: “The lymphatic vessel microenvironment in critical-size bone defect regeneration” (poster)

They also had the opportunity to visit the Rahel Hirsch Center of the Charité for a lab tour.
