Ahmad Alminnawi has participated in the 6th Barcelona VPH Summer School. The VPH Summer school was organized by the University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain) and took place on 23-27 March 2022. Ahmad Alminnawi participated in the Disc4All Winter School, which took place in the University of Bern, Switzerland between 21-25 February 2022. He presented his work there, entitled “In vitro and in silico modelling of cartilage endplate degeneration mechanisms”. Ahmad is part of the Disc4All project.

Marc will present his research in an EMBO/EMBL workshop

Marc Joiret will attend an EMBO/EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) workshop and present a poster. His poster title is “Protein translation rate modeling with extended TASEP incorporating tRNA modifications effects”. The workshop title is “Protein Synthesis and Translational Control” and will be held from 4 to 7 September in Heidelberg, Germany (www.embl.de/training/events/2019/TRC19-01).

Niki Loverdou got a travel grant for the 3rd Herbert Fleisch workshop

Niki Loverdou presented a poster entitled “Identifying metabolic alterations during chondrogenic differentiation of periosteal cells cultured in spheroids” in the the 3rd Herbert Fleisch workshop in Brugges, Belgium. She also had a travel grant to attend this workshop. The workshop was held in Brugges, Belgium, 17-19 March.
